Book Club Reads

What will Book Club read this year? Will it be The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner? The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? Mockingjay? Want to have a say? Keep an eye on the Daily Bulletin for the details of our meetings.
We are currently reading Hate List, by Jennifer Brown.
All readers welcome!

A Little Bit of MICDS History

I was browsing through Mary Institute: The Story of One Hundred Ten Years today and came across a lovely tidbit that I had not known.  T. S. Eliot, the grandson of the founder of our school, spoke at Mary Institute's centennial celebration.  How cool is that?  His four older sisters all attended Mary Institute, and he would have graduated from MI except, as Eliot says, "for the difference of sex." According to his speech, this was the first time he had ever spoken in St. Louis. If you want to read his remarks, check out the history of MI at 373.33.

As an added bonus, flip to the pages on the new technologies in the computer laboratory and in Messing Library.  We've come a long way!
