ALA Award Winners Announced!

Watching the library twittersphere blow up with award information this morning was almost like being there. . . Can't you just feel the excitement?

The Printz Award is the most important literary award for writing for young adults.  The Printz Award "is an award for a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature. It is named for a Topeka, Kansas school librarian who was a long-time active member of the Young Adult Library Services Association.  The award is sponsored by Booklist, a publication of the American Library Association."

This year, the Printz award goes to Where Things Come Back, by Corey Whaley.

Here's a trailer for the book:

We will have copies in the library shortly!

Find a full list of awards here.  Enjoy!
