Book Club Reads

What will Book Club read this year? Will it be The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner? The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? Mockingjay? Want to have a say? Keep an eye on the Daily Bulletin for the details of our meetings.
We are currently reading Hate List, by Jennifer Brown.
All readers welcome!

PIX, ANYONE?

Check out our Flickr page for library-related and not-so-library-related photographs.

Explore pictures of MiniTerm, Spirit Week, Halloween, and other exciting events in the library and around campus. Say cheese!

We're glad you're here.

If you are a freshman or sophomore at MICDS, you are likely visiting this website for the first time after being directed here by Ms. Williamson or Ms. Voss. Welcome!

We hope that you will use this site to find great resources, both in the library and on the web. If you look to the right you will find a ToolKit that will come in very handy during the Integration week. And don't miss the catalog link above the ToolKit; use it to search for anything you might want in the library (hint: you can even search for video games.) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask any of the librarians!

Wordle is cool.

I've been playing around with Wordle, a "toy for generating 'word clouds' from text that you provide." I used my del.icio.us account to create this word cloud:

I love how this shows what I look for in sites; the bigger the word, the more I have tagged sites having to do with that word. Clearly, I have tagged a lot of sites dealing with libraries, history, copyright, technology, and science, and these words reflect the many projects that the library has worked on in the last year.

Check out wordle.net, and make a cloud for yourself.
